Mother Goose was established in January 1999 in the rural village of Penley, close to the Wrexham and Shropshire border. Sarah Love has owned and operated the nursery since 2012. Under her dedicated leadership, it has become a highly respected nursery, valued and admired for its commitment to excellence.

Sarah is passionate about giving children the best possible start in life. At Mother Goose Nursery, our mission is to provide a safe, caring and inspiring environment that supports the development of young children throughout their early years. We offer a home-from-home experience, with fully equipped, free-flowing indoor and outdoor play areas. We provide home-cooked meals and hold a 5-star food hygiene rating.

We offer reliable and affordable childcare tailored to the needs of busy families in the Wrexham and Shropshire borderlands. Whether you're looking for full- or part-time childcare, we provide flexible options to suit your schedule and your child's routine. We accept childcare vouchers and are always willing to help families access a range of government-funded programmes, such as Flying Start and Early Years Education. We have excellent links with local schools. We run an after-school and holiday club at Penley Children’s Club on the grounds of Madras Primary School. This enables us to help local children make a smooth transition when they reach school age.

The nursery is registered with the Care Inspectorate for Wales (CIW) to care for 35 children aged from three months to eight years. It is open weekdays from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., 51 weeks a year.
